Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-8838:
--------------------------------------------

"which wrap/include "binary" (non-source) features, since that's not The Eclipse Way "

...hmmm - thought eclipse normally did the SDK approach but recently changed their ways - in any case, worth letting the tycho guys know if we have additional concerns beyond my gut feeling about them ;)

And yes if #b works and it is not limited by other features saying I can't install this source bundle because I don't have a perfect match on the feature then i'm fine too.

"Seems like the plugins to generate source features cannot be factorized into parent: when using it on eclipse-plugin, the p2-plugin makes build crash. So it has to be copy-pasted on features."

Something to be reported against eclipse bugzilla ?

> As per example done in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=344515 and http://wiki.eclipse.org/Minerva#Source, the rest of JBT needs source features/plugins.
