Nick Boldt updated JBDS-1998:
-----------------------------

    Fix Version/s: 5.0.0.CR1
                       (was: 5.0.0.Beta1)

> "Lastest stable version of SVNKit (1.3.7) is not compatible with Subversion 1.7 working copy format. However, SVNKit 1.7 is under development now and we plan to release it in February 2012. Fully functional beta will be ready inJanuary 2012."

Because there's no SVNKit client adapter compatible for Subclipse 1.8, and because the JavaHL install experience is such a nightmare, I'm pushing this out to CR1.

Will revisit this issue then.

> I've been using native svn 1.7 for a while now, Today while reinstalling a new Eclipse installation from scratch, I installed subclipse from JBoss Central.
> After installation, I tried to share my existing projects in eclipse but couldn't, since the 1.7 checkout is not supported by subclipse (based on svn 1.6).
> Can we update the subclipse version from central to use the 1.8.x stream?
> With svn 1.7, you have only have one .svn folder at the root of your checkout, no more .svn folders crawling everywhere making copying and moving folders a breathe.
