Do you mean simply saving them as .odt files? 
I tried to check one in but got the following error :
svn: CHECKOUT of '/!svn/ver/15549/labs/jbosstm/trunk/ArjunaCore/docs/install_guide': 403 Forbidden (https://svn.labs.jboss.com)

Am I using the wrong path or don't I have the correct permissions to commit perhaps.
