Yes, that is the way I point you at. Both these links use Xvfb to open a headless display. It does not matter much if it is xvfb or xvnc or any other headless X server. On Hudson we (QE) use the xvnc, so I created the tests and their jobs in similar way like other QE selenium based tests already are. I can look at how to run the tests in headless mode from maven with xvnc. But the current approach already works on Hudson where we have some slaves prepared for Selenium testing, see for example [1].
