Yes, an important point. Both the mailinglist and individual threads should
be easily bookmarkable. I assumed the inclusion of that requirement when I
said they should be indexable, but it's worth clarifying.

While the actual software used doesn't really matter, I strongly recommend
using a well known platform such as mailman. My hope is that the list
archives can be decentralized into systems such as Nabble. glassfish-dev is
an example: http://www.nabble.com/java.net---glassfish-dev-f13451.html
