Hi Nicolas,
I'm afraid Keycloak won't let you override/extend base theme the way you do it now (themes/base/...)
I'd recommend that you use Theme Resources [1], it seems to be exactly your use case.
However, it's a fairly recent feature [2]. If you're on KC 3.x, you'll rather need to create a custom theme based on the stock one. See Keycloak examples [3] and BeerCloak [4] for that.
