Alex - at the seam/richfaces meeting we discussed that this required more review, and time.  Also that this was likely not needed in RichFaces.  This should not have been merged to trunk!!  We need to discuss this more, and be prepared to revert this!

Also you did not use jira #s in the svn logs so it is difficult to track what changes we made for this.
