workaround:
ExtendedDataTable.DataTable.header.prototype.setColumnWidth = function (A, B) {
    if (A >= this.getColumnsNumber()) {
        return false;
    } else {
        if (!B) {
            B = null;
        }
        sleep(500); // added for FF 10 compatibility
        this.getColumns()[A].width = B;
    }
}


function sleep(milliseconds) {
	var start = new Date().getTime();
	while ((new Date().getTime() - start) < milliseconds){
	// Do nothing busy waiting...
	}
}


add busy waiting. Sounds like a racecondition....
