[rules-users] evaluation of null not consistent

As I understand it the two forms would in this case be equivalent. As it
turns out, the syntax of the rule was not the problem. When running with
Drools 5.0, it fails as I previously described. When compiled and run with
the 5.1 Milestone 1 build, however, everything works fine.
