[rules-users] Ignoring PatternSyntaxException in decison tables

Sorry - looks like the users included control characters in the pattern and
when they were output to the console they made the output look different
from the actual value used. While testing I took the value from console
using copy/paste. Now I look in the logs and it looks different in the text
file.
