-Drools is pervasive, meaning it's everywhere<br>

-The pervasive nature of Drools means there are a large number of
people you can hire. You don't want to get locked into a single
vendor because you can't hire anyone or find alternative
consultancies.<br>
-Drools is actively used in a large number of university research
projects, ensuring that there are people leaving university with
Drools experience. This is a fast growing area, I hope that
eventually Drools itself will be a teaching material in universities
- once we add backward chaining and semantics.<br>

Education/Training<br>
-Two Drools books, more on the way<br>
-Wealth of online information<br>
-Active mailing lists<br>
-Real time chat channels<br>
-Free and open workshops throughout the year in different locations<br>
<br>
Control<br>
-Can you fix bugs yourself, are you in charge of your own personal
roadmaps. Or are you at the mercy of a vendor?<br>
<br>
Eco System/3rd party integration<br>
-Drools is integrated everywhere - Spring, Camel etc.<br>

Global Professional Services<br>
-Red Hat is in the 4 corners of the globe offering a full range of
professional services and support subscriptions.<br>

All in all Drools is going in a rapid direction for risk reduction.
Where as Corticon could be bought by Oracle or IBM next year for
it's sales contacts and the tech shelved.<br><font color="#888888">
