Thanks for raising the JIRA. It is now fixed (for 5.5.0.beta1).<br><br>For 5.4, you may have seen from the release notes, I made the "value editors" for different data-types more robust - only permitting entry of valid values.<br>
<br>It is very unfortunate I missed "formula" on the "THEN" part, that as you noticed, was defaulting to a TextBox for a literal value (i.e. just a numeric, in your case).<br><br>5.3 did not have this problem (and might present features closer to those in the book you are reading).<br>
