Gavin King closed JBSEAM-785.
-----------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
Can't really do it, since there is no way to specify "don't create" on an EL expression.
> No @Observer(create=false) equivalent in events.xml
> ---------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: JBSEAM-785
> URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-785
> Project: JBoss Seam
> Issue Type: Feature Request
> Components: Core
> Affects Versions: 1.1.5.GA
> Reporter: Stephan Bublava
> Priority: Minor
>
> According to events-1.1.dtd it is not possible to define an event that will only be propagated to existing component instances, as an be done with @Observer.
> Does it make sense to support something like the construct shown below?
> <event type="hello">
> <action expression="#{helloListener.sayHelloBack}" create="false" />
> </event>
