I could not agree more. At the moment every Maven user has to install the seam artifacts into their local repo or into a company internal repo. Provided this is done with a pom that does not have the full dependencies declared using the maven install plugin this is actually not that much work. I already do this internally with each Seam release (and we have upgraded with nearly each release) so I can help if desired.
