Thanks for the clarification, Alex.  So your interests would be served by a styleClass attribute on s:button, similar to s:link?

If this is correct, I think it'd also be best to correct the behavior of the input type="image" by either returning false on the onclick (which will prevent the default behavior of the form being submitted) or changing the control to output a button type button with an image tag inside (and any value included).

Is everyone ok with this?
