Ok - had a talk with Pete and figured these out.

0) the duplicate jars is a bug JBSEAM-2137 that pete would look into fixing.

1) The issue with datasource was caused by us not putting embedded-api.jar into the classpath of the test (without this we would pick up the deployers classes in jboss 4.2 and that results in the above weird error)

2) The test scenario is IMO bad and a big change in behavior for the test suite, I've filed JBSEAM-2138 for tracking that.

3) We also found that core.jar is needed for drools tests to run; but that is purely a jboss tools issue.
