Kenneth Christensen commented on JBSEAM-2611:
---------------------------------------------

"1) Needs documentation in diff format (both ref manual and in component xml file)"

OK.

"2) Nesting the tag into a component needs to work"

There are some problems together with RichFaces 3.1.4 (only tested it against 3.1.4) - I wrote earlier:

<h:form>
    <h:inputText id="email" value="#{user.email}">
        <s:focus saveFocus="true"/>
    </h:inputText>
</h:form>

and

<h:form>
    <h:inputText id="email" value="#{user.email}">
        <s:focus/>
    </h:inputText>
</h:form>

Will be deprecated because of problems when using it together with a4j:support.

"3) What browsers has this been tested on"

IE 6 & 7, FF 2 & 3, Opera 9 and Safari 2 & 3.

"4)Nik, do you have to commit this and take responsibility for maintaining it with Kenneth?"

"5) Should be included in an example"

OK.

BTW: I'm using (in production for the last 3 - 4 months) a custom Seam 2 (2.0.1 & 2.0.3.CR1) build with attached implementation and it works just fine.

> It might be convenient to have a <s:prefocus/> tag that could be e.g. nested inside an inputText field you would like to have focused when the page is loaded.
> It could be implemented with a simple document.getElementById('...').focus(); (or other browser-compatible code) at the end of the page.
