The real fix for SWITCHYARD-436 is to incorporate the CXF fix available in AS 7.1.  Unfortunately, this version was not ready for the 0.3 release, so a workaround was committed instead:

We need to back this fix out once the AS version is bumped as part of SWITCHYARD-531.
