See the SQLParser.jj, it has metadata embedded in comments for the tokens and productions in a properties format for parsing simplicity.  The customized generator will just directly insert the examples, which can be in wiki markup.

The default BNF generator for JavaCC is bad for us.  It doesn't emit any token information, but I could modify it so that we don't have to manually keep a separate BNF up-to-date.
