The assertion error is caused by push aggregate running after choose dependent - which is adding a staged aggregate but not updating the value expression on the previously created dependent set criteria.

The approach of the fix was to reverse the execution of the rules.  This also required updating criteria pushing and path detection logic to account for staged groups.

After this was resolved TEIID-2048 was observed, which is the same issue seen in the associated case on 7.4.1.
