It's not a problem to add the tables/views views.  However columns conveys type information that is pg system metadata specific.  So for now I'm thinking this will need to go under the pg catalog metadata as prefixed views - pg_catalog."information_schema.columns".  This will still resolve as expected if the client uses information_schema.columns.  The only potential issue is that the user could add an information_schema model/schema to the vdb and redirect these queries.
