<p>This is helpful yes - especially if the same source is included in multiple vdbs. You could deploy each source as a separate vdb and "restart/redeploy" only those that need a refresh. <p>VDB reuse coupled with admin methods to get the current artifacts (the vdb.xml or an updated vdb with the modified vdb.xml stuffed in) would provide sufficient workarounds. It still may be nice however to have a higher-level operation to perform a restart and indicate which sources will have their metadata cache purged.</p></div>
