Ondra, you are right. I just tested a build of an AsciiDoc file
using Asciidoctor and it renders list items with the paragraph tag
too. So it's not just GitHub!<br>

Actually I have reported it too, directly to AsciiDoc forum, but
that seems to be a wrong place - I should have posted it to

          <pre>Hi Sande,

Thanks for pointing this out! I've opened an issue to let our developers know about it. If they have any questions, we'll hit you up for more information.

Cheers,
Jess

&gt; GitHub renders Markdown list items correctly, but renders AsciiDoc list
items with a `&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;` tag. The resulting list has blank lines between
list items, resulting in a very spread out list.

&gt; You can see examples here:

Markdown: <a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://github.com/sgilda/playground/blob/master/file-markdown.md">https://github.com/sgilda/playground/blob/master/file-markdown.md</a>
Asciidoc:
<a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://github.com/sgilda/playground/blob/master/file-asciidoc.asciidoc">https://github.com/sgilda/playground/blob/master/file-asciidoc.asciidoc</a>

Is this a stylesheet issue?

Thanks,
Sande Gilda
