Great idea, Matthias!

There are a few project, which focused on the searching of easy open issues for beginners:
They scan open bug trackers for the issues with specific labels, like "easy", "trivial", "beginner", "easy pick", "up-for-grabs", etc. Once all of them work with Github issues, up-for-grabs and openhatch support different bug trackers (JIRA included). We can add our repos to this lists and mark which label to use for searching.

Best,
Idel

Good idea Matthias.

I will keep this in mind next time we go through the backlog with the team.

Hi,

in order to allow new contributors an "easy" start for their contributions, I think it's a good idea to label AeroGear JIRAs as "good_first_bug".

Currently we have a handful of those:

The above filter is public, so is also visible to users that are not logged in to JIRA, this also lowers the entry-point for potential contributors!
