To answer your question running the UnifiedPush Server you’ll need wildfly or jboss eap, you could also deploy it on openshift. To integrate it with your application we have a PHP library https://github.com/aerogear/aerogear-unified-push-php-client Have a look at the documentation as well http://aerogear.org/docs/unifiedpush/
