Andreas, I don't think there is anything you can do with the current implementation.

I guess cooperating on correct resolution of AGPUSH-1321 and later testing would help immensely!

Sending the messages in batches means we could also parallelize their processing.
The same if we alternatively use JMS for delivery as I suggested in AGPUSH-1321 (we could configure throughput).
