1. Create a new app
2. Bind metrics to the app
3. While the binding is still in progress, bind the UPS
4. Try editing the fields: you will see that they get emptied while you write from time to time until the previous binding has finished

This applies to any binding: the usage of metrics and UPS here is just an example.
I believe this is somewhat related to refreshes due to websocket events.
