Laura Fitzgerald Gerard Ryan Jan Hellar I did some quick tests, and the problem is that we can't really set the value for the `uid` field of a k8s object. It is always generated by the cluster. This value is then used in the `ownerReference` object in CRs. When we do the restore, the `uid` value of all the mobileclients are changed, so we will need to update the CRs to use the new uid value. This means that we should update the restore procedure. The right procedure should be: For every mobileclient: 1. Find all its child CR using the old UID 2. Create the mobileclient object, get its new UID. 3. Replace all the old UIDs in the child CRs and then create them. I think the best way to fix it is to create a simple script to help solve the issue. Wdyt? |
