Just trying to understand the exact use case for the additional variants per platform (e.g. >1 variants for Android). Is it the case that it's for representing different flavours of Android or for representing different groups of users? @Summers can you shed some light?

The additional question is, if we are to support the use case (which we should as otherwise it would be a depreciation of functionality), then should we add brief text to state that in the case of multiple variants support, there would need to be manual update of the mobile-services.json if you want the Mobile App to use the variant created directly through the Push Admin Console.
