Not sure, but how is the 'answer' important? The success is really just called once the device is registered on the server, IMO it should not even need to pass in an argument; Perhaps Cordova is doing something 'funny' on the different platforms.
Can you share a snippet of the different callback checks ? Just to see what exactly you are looking at ?
