Oh, there is no question it's a douche bag, but we can (hopefully) make it better. What we need to do is scaffold some good structure but also provide some sane APIs that prevent users from shooting themselves in the foot which is easy to do with App Cache. Basically, this needs a lot more than scaffolding but scaffolding would be a good start.
