Farah Juma with the PR for AGPUSH-1310, most of this is already implemented, on version 1.0.3.

What is needed to actually give users with previous versions a chance to upgrade? Or is the best option, to offer migration from 1.0.3 and later? (e.g. also enabling git hooks to manually upload WAR files?)
