Just to register. Following the conclusion after a chat with Wei Li.

• Just to clarifies it has a standard/convection defined and applied in the other Opers as E.g UPS and MSS
• Each specific pod required is checked in the convention/standard and we have more this one which would check the number of minimal pods required. For example in this case 1 for the oper + 1 for the service which in this scenario would notify the SRE in 2 alerts and NOT just one.

So, the Wei Li conclusion is that it is redundant and could be removed from all. As it would be a minor issue.

Also, note that MDC Prometheus alerts specifically for the service is not following this convention and is missing alerts which is tracked here: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/AEROGEAR-9644
