What I get is that we have two paths that we could go with

• "Other possible solution is to have “Podfile_dev” file besides Podfile. " mentioned above
• Option nr1: Use env variables that enables blocks or specific versions:

I do not have strong opinion about them but using env variables seems more cleaner aproach for me.
