We have this issue too.
For every category the user has one pushmessage will be sent.
if i push the categories "cat1", "cat2" and a user has both categories he will receive 2 messages.

The Problem exist only on Version 1.0.2.
I think it has something to do with the recent change how categories are stored (separate entities).
