Colum Foskin Dara Hayes David Martin After some thought i think it is better to not fail the unbind operation when deleting the variant fails: if we don that then the user could end up in a Situation where they cannot get rid of their bindings, even if they delete the variant in UPS and the secret manually.

Also, this conflicts with deleting variants in UPS: if we trigger unbind externall it is expected that the config and annotations in the secret still exist.

Error handling on bind still makes sense though.
What do you guys think? I'd close this for now but am happy to reopen if there is a good reason for error handling on unbind.
