[~jfrizell] Idea is that this will be alpha release. Then we going to release every sprint with another alpha. Once Product will be happy to close initial development phase, we could release beta and work on promotion to test that and make sure that we are ready for official release.
Official AeroGear Service release is different story and I think we will need to go with 2.1.0 or higher because some lads already released some minor changes in that this is the current version: https://github.com/aerogear/aerogear-android-sdk/releases
TL;DR - we need target version - for example 2.1.0 and release alphas until things will be stable and development will stop. We cannot release anything with regular version without stopping development and start testing/bugfixing stuff. This is how things work normally.
Generally sync team has good grasp on this and I informed others guys to stop releasing stuff using official release numbers so we will not end up with 8.0.0 as initial release of sync :P
