HI [~endaphelan],
Thank you for share the video. <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yi5A3cK1LNA&feature=youtu.be&t=438>
I'd like to do some considerations over it: - Note that the speaker has less than 8 years working as a developer[1] and only 3 work experiences and the last one is as CEO of some startup found by him. - His best experiences are when he started his career in Heruko when it was a small company, a startup, probably as an intern or junior dev and CoreOS as a lead and not dev just for only 7 months, which indeed is a RedHat project now. - *CoreOS[2] and Heruko[3] are also using the pkg testify/assert to implement their tests*
*So, I cannot see it as a strong argumentation to NOT use the testify/assert just the opposite.* See that is NOT because someone makes a video and publish on the internet or wrote a blog that information started to be 100% true or valid. Anyone can do that and unless the reference is from some authorities as for example Uncle Bob or Martin Fowler, we can/should look further and see more refs and think with our own minds. At least it is my opinion. I hope that this info can helpful.
