The MVC spec is wondering about having extra scopes or not (and if yes, build them on top of CDI).

They brought this old topic : nested conversation.

Should we think about it for the CDI 2.0 release ?

It's really a pain to use (you must mark begin and end, only one scope : no nested conversations, etc...)
CODI and Deltaspike created their own ConversationScope which are easier to use in real life applications.
