Yes, the spirit of the current JIRAs is not to mention subclassing specifically, but to specify the effects that we expect (i.e. constructors, public fields, self-invocation, etc).

IMO it is specifying too much the technical part:  specify the constructor should be called twice is better for a spec IMHO (but this case is not logical at all ;))
