Randall Hauch commented on DNA-577:
-----------------------------------
I should add that the JPA connector does store in the database which model is being used.
So even after an application with an existing database upgrades from JBoss DNA 0.6 to 0.7,
the DNA would continue to use the model that was selected when the database was created.
However, new database would by default use the 'Simple' model. In other words,
existing database would be unaffected by the change in the default model, and would need
to be migrated to a new database (via content export and import) to use the
'Simple' model.
Change the default model of the JPA connector from 'Basic' to
'Simple'

Key: DNA-577
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/DNA-577
Project: DNA
Issue Type: Task
Components: Connectors
Affects Versions: 0.7
Reporter: Randall Hauch
Priority: Blocker
Fix For: 0.7
A new 'Simple' model was recently added to the JPA storage connector (see
DNA-546), and that model is apparently feature-complete and working well. This new model
also has solved several issues related to certain JCR functionality (see DNA-546), so it
appears to actually be more functional than the 'Basic' model.
The JPA connector's default model should be changed to 'Simple'.
