[JBoss JIRA] (FORGE-1874) Migrate Maven commands from Forge 1
by George Gastaldi (JIRA)
George Gastaldi commented on FORGE-1874:
----------------------------------------
Not at the moment. I am not sure we want this per-default, as we want users to run build commands independently of the build tool used (Maven, Gradle, etc...)

[JBoss JIRA] (FORGE-2347) setNote on InputComponent should word wrap in GUIs
by Claus Ibsen (JIRA)
Claus Ibsen commented on FORGE-2347:
------------------------------------
Notice how I enlarge the wizard and then I can read the entire note. If you reduce the wizard then the text in the top, eg "Adds a Camel component to your project dependencies" is word wrapping.

> Thanks for setNote to set a description in the UI. This works nice. See screenshot.
> However if the text is long then its not word wrap. But you have to enlarge the UI Wizard to see all the text.
> But the title text in the top is word wrapping.

[JBoss JIRA] (FORGE-2342) Forge Command Wizard Step - Editing boolean types should be a [x] in the UI
by Claus Ibsen (JIRA)
Claus Ibsen resolved FORGE-2342.
--------------------------------
Assignee: Claus Ibsen
Resolution: Rejected
I fixed it on my end to ensure we always use java.lang.Boolean as the type for UIInput then it works.

> We have a bunch of Camel forge commands. One command is able to edit Camel endpoints using a wizard, where each of the endpoint options is listed in the UI and editable.
> See screenshot.
> There is a bunch of options which is boolean type. I would like the editor to use a boolean kind of UI instead.
> We have this helper to create the UI element
> https://github.com/fabric8io/fabric8/blob/master/forge/addons/camel/src/m...
> When its a boolean type we use some logic to compute which .class type that is
> https://github.com/fabric8io/fabric8/blob/master/forge/addons/camel/src/m...
> For example the deamon option has this meta-data
> {code}
> "daemon": { "kind": "parameter", "type": "boolean", "javaType": "boolean", "deprecated": "false", "defaultValue": "true", "description": "Specifies whether or not the thread associated with the timer endpoint runs as a daemon. The default value is true." },
> {code}
> I wonder if Forge has UI elements for boolean types?

[JBoss JIRA] (FORGE-2346) Include tooltip in forge wizard for the various options
by Claus Ibsen (JIRA)
Claus Ibsen commented on FORGE-2346:
------------------------------------
PS: When the command is complete then in IDEA the source code file is not automatic updated. You have to force a sync in IDEA cmd + alt Y.
I wonder if there is a way we can force the sync from the forge command ?

> Our Camel forge commands works nicely in IDEA.
> But the wizard that allows to edit the options, does not show the documentation we have as tooltips when however the mouse. Eclipse does that.
> Also the numbers in the UI is formatted using what seems like US locale. eg with thousand separator. It would be nicer to just show numbers without such formatting.
> See screenshot.
