This is mainly because users may have only Maven 3.0.x when they need Maven 3.1.x to build
an addon.

Need a way of configuring/selecting the maven version to use, either via users .profile
environment by default. Other configurators should include things like inheriting the
native eclipse configuration for m2e plugin, and custom config.
