Ivan St. Ivanov commented on FORGE-421:
---------------------------------------
Hi Lincoln,
Thanks for the idea of using the Maven Container! However, I'm not yet sure that the
MavenContainer instance has any impact on the executeMaven method, that is eventually run
upon building the plugin.
As for the username/password support - thanks for reminding me! I thought of adding them,
but then I forgot. It will not be a big deal... However, I'm afraid I will not be able
to test it, because my company proxy does not use such stuff.
Thanks also for merging my changes! They seem to be all there, even an experiment that I
did some time ago and was not supposed to go into the upstream (it works, though). I am
still afraid of using Git :-)
BTW, something off topic. Do you have a good resource on how should we use Git when
working with a Github project? I use mainly this:
https://community.jboss.org/wiki/ArquillianDevelopmentAndContribution
However, it does not answer an important question: how do I keep my origin repository
(ivannov/core) up-to-date with the upstream one (forge/core). I tried to do that by
pushing to ivannov/core after I pull from forge/core, but you saw what a mess I produced
with that approach...
Thanks,
Ivan
Proxy support

Key: FORGE-421
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/FORGE-421
Project: Forge
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: Shell, Windows
Affects Versions: 1.0.0.Beta5
Environment: Windows7 -32b
Reporter: Esteve Aviles
Assignee: Ivan St. Ivanov
Priority: Optional
Labels: proxy, settings
Is there any way to configure forge to use proxy.
I have problems while trying to install new plugins:
-set DEFAULT_PLUGIN_REPO
https://raw.github.com/forge/plugin-repository/master/repository.yaml
-forge install-plugin arquillian
-Connecting to remote repository
[
https://raw.github.com/forge/plugin-repository/master/repository.yaml]... ***ERROR***
[forge install-plugin] Connection to
https://raw.github.com refused
I am behind a proxy. I have no problem in downloading it with an explorer. Maven also
works fine.
Thanks
