At the moment users are always displayed sorted by username and not created date (I double
checked that). I fully agree that having an UI option to sort by column (asc/desc) would
be a great usability improvement. With bigger numer of users it gets messy indeed.
Unfortunately our current identity API (OrganizationService, UserHandler,
UserProfileHandler... - the one inherited from exo) doesn't expose such options at
all. It is possible in PicketLink IDM but as its API is used under the covers and we
should keep the compatibility with other OrganizationService implementations (previous exo
ones) it is not trival to do.

It's impossible to find a user in the User Management portlet when you have a lot of
users.
For now, we display user by created date.
We should display them with priorities :
order by lastname, firstname
And without being case sensitive (very important not to have A-Z then a-z but Aa-Zz)
