In GateIn 3.2 selecting a menu option in the RichFaces demo would redisplay the portlet with new content in the right hand section of the portlet. In GateIn 3.3 clicking the menu option has no impact, however, refreshing the page then does display the correct content. It appears that between GateIn 3.2 and 3.3 there was a change to how Ajax action requests are handled such that it doesn't result in an update to the portal page without an entire page refresh.
