In some case it's not enough for example when the webservice is doing a conversion, or the server is slow, it happen on the blog of exo or gatein. I'd like to increase it to 15 sec. Moreover Shindig seems to cache errors, so the following request will get directly a 504 error. (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SHINDIG-1251) The timeout has to be set in BasicHttpFetcher.java by guice config.
