Antoine,
maybe I do not get your point. But what I mean by roundtrip is that you can export from
the DB per Portal Container for every site within the container the configuration as
portal.xml, pages.xml, navigation.xml, sharedLayout.xml and other needed xml files. Then
you can modify these xml files and define by setting a flag that the next time EPP starts
you overwrite everything in the jcr-DB with the content from the xml files (or you just
drop the jcr DB before). The idm-DB should stay untouched. Alternatively if that is not
feasible, you should also be able to export all the user data into an xml file and import
from there upon the next start again.
I think that should be pretty straight forward and you would not have to mess around with
different bags...
Portal entity creation and configuration in a war file.

Key: GTNPORTAL-870
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/GTNPORTAL-870
Project: GateIn Portal
Issue Type: Feature Request
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Reporter: Matt Wringe
Fix For: 4.0.0
It would be nice if we could have some simple portal/portlet configuration files that
would allow us to have similar functionality as the object.xml and portlet-instances.xml
files that JBoss Portal used to have.
This would be something more simplier than the portal extension and would allow for
things like configuring a new page with portlets on it when the portlet war gets deployed.
