Pull request sent. Mails sending works fine for me on AS7. I guess you may missed SMPT
configuration in configuration.properties? See

Component MailService doesn't boot on AS7. It's lazy (non-Startable) component so
this error doesn't occur on server startup but at first usage of MailService
