I was about to create new jira for this but finally I saw it as similar issue :)
I was trying to configure theme for specific portlet in pages.xml today
(http://community.jboss.org/message/596741) and I think that this should be documented in
Ref.Guide because the format isn't very intuitive:
<theme>SkinName:ThemeName</theme>
